I do this by blending into the room and documenting the authentic interactions and raw details that make your birth story special. This is an extremely special experience that you deserve to have frozen in time by someone you can trust.
As a mom of two kids myself, the only regret I have about their births was not having a professional photographer there. I clumsily handed a camera to my husband and hoped for the best. While I cherish the photos I do have, the birth experience is now a total blur. I would love to have been able to have incredible images of my children to share with them now — and to help me remember the experience, too!
For an experience as vulnerable and sacred as this, you need a photographer in the room that you can trust — someone who "gets" you and accepts you without judgement.
I know that while you're considering birth photography, you may feel nervous about the idea of having a stranger in the room with you. That's why I want to feel more like another member of your family — someone you are completely comfortable being around.
